See how here.
My mom made one for each of the grandkids a couple years ago. My friend, Dawnie, picked me up some old vinyl records at Goodwill. I still have yet to make any myself, but maybe soon.
Sorry Helen-I'm getting 'reddy' to turn your record into a bowl ☺ !

Hi Holly, I nearly cried when i saw your post. I collect records and just couldn't bring myself to do this to any of them. It is a great idea though, especially for ones that are scratched.
Love it. Now I want one.
Melissa-I'm so sorry. You can find records cheap and abundantly at Goodwill. Some really bad ones too. Now-I could never melt Donny Osmond or Andy Gibb!
Kimmie-your wish is my command.
Do you have directions how to do this?
Yes-go here http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/show/segments/view/bowling-with-evette-rios/
It was on the Rachel Ray show. And if you google vinyl record bowls-you'll probably find a bunch more tutorials.
I'm glad to see you survived!
ohhh holly i just love your work. i am not sure who is helen reddy or whats her name, but i think i need to revive the kids' "bowls and put them out somewhere. you can also decorate walls with unwanted records. our new music teacher did it and it livens up the room. love it.
holly, you are wonderful....please post some more.
jessie, are you commenting yet???? dont just be a lurker, come on out and comment.
Jodie-you're silly! ♥♥♥♥♥
And Jodie-you do know who Helen Reddy is.
She sings your theme song-I am Woman!
You know-
I am woman,
hear me roar
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman
Oh, I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong
Lol you guys are crazy. Thanks for the giggle
i like melissa lucas. i dont know who she is but i like her. and yes, we are crazy. its the only way to survive.
Hey, Holly, you are the one who taught me how to make these. I made a bunch of them. I used them as gift baskets for Christmas on year. I bought Christmas records and they were sweet and much cheaper than a real basket.
Dawnie-
I knew you guys made a couple, but I didn't know about you doing the Christmas thing. Love that idea!!!!!
