Hello deers!

I saw two deer on the horizon this evening, so I had to grab some pics.

I worked on some table runners this week for my sister's wedding reception, but first I swept and scrubbed the floor.  I had to, before I could possibly work with that long fabric.  I have a 150 pound dog running around the house most of the time, remember?   He went with Larry this day.

Runners pressed and rolled, so hopefully no wrinkles!

Aren't my colorful crochet hooks purdy?  I thought so!

I finished up a rug today-hopefully, I'll get some pics of it tomorrow.
I hope you had a good Good Friday!

Finding Rocco (and my thoughts while doing it) this fine Thursday morn

Hmmmmmm-where's Rocco?  I better get the gator and look for him.
It's a very pretty morning.

Look how some trees just break in half, isn't that something?

Omg-it's freezing-I should have worn gloves.  Those trees are lovely.

Just follow those big paw tracks, and you will find him. Is that him?  Grrrr-he's gonna get it!

Slink, slink, slink.  He's a slinker, he's a STinker!

Trot, trot, trot.  Yeah-you better get a move on, Mister!  Now, jump in the back.

Woah-that's really beautiful, but it's freezing.  Time to go home, Roc.
Happy Thursday!

Miscellaneous

My sister asked me to paint and 'rusticate' this wishing well for cards at her wedding reception, so I did.

That led me to decide to paint my table top too.  Oh heck, I figured I might as well, while the paint was out.

25 years was long enough to look at oak.  The finish was damaged anyhow.

I primed it with Kilz 2 that I had for the camper and some water-based satin Dutch Boy paint that my mom had given me for the camper also.  That stuff was old and really thick but I just kept adding water till it got to a nice consistency and it worked great!  After the paint dried, I sanded around the edges and then wiped it down with brown craft paint on a damp cloth.  It was a surprisingly easy project.

I think it'll make for prettier pictures.

What do you think???

I was excited to fill my ceramic egg holder that Jodie got me for my birthday, with plastic Easter eggs.

I cut a Goodwill hap apart and covered a pillow in desperate need of covering.

I stash my books and my rag balls wherever possible. :)

Bunnies bunnies everywhere!

There's a lot of different patterns going on here!  A friend gave me this quilt, then I gave it to my sister, then she gave it back to me and I'm glad 'cause I like it!  I covered another pillow with that Goodwill hap.

Ahhhhh-the sunshine appeared here and there today, and it was lovely to see!
Have a great day!

Stuffed

I've always thought that Roc had a stuffed animal looking face in this pic. (This is last year's calendar.)

Today I grabbed the stuffie we had from the junk room (the stuffie was a gift from Larry's parents years ago) (when we first got it, the darn thing scared me every time I walked into the same room as it was in) and took it outside in the snow to compare.

Yep-I see a resemblance, except I think that the Roc is much cuter.

Yes-I had other things to do today besides this, I just didn't want to do them!

I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!

This and that

Mom and I were at Kim's (my youngest sister's) on Saturday.  As usual-I went around taking pics-outside this time.  Since Kim will be selling her little home soon (she's getting married!), she might like to look back at these pics someday.

Above-shiny holly leaves and a barberry berry.

Here's a tree stump with interesting looking fungi growing on it-in Kim's back yard.

Here are more pretty berry type things from the bushes around Kim's front porce

I'm stuck on you-this is Kimmie's backyard fence.

Moss and snow in Kim's backyard.  Very pretty, in my opinion.

Sunset shadows-at my house.

Roc is waiting for Dad to come home from work.  This was on one of the warm days we had last week.

Rocco must have felt like sticking his head in the ground this day.  Don't we all feel that way from time to time?  I'm thanking the good Lord that usually those days are few and far between.
Have a terrific Tuesday!

Sweet stuff

My peeps!  I've been using these same ones for three years.  Now, that's what I call shelf stable!

Mmmm-Jelly Belly jelly beans.  My favs are buttered popcorn, toasted marshmallow, and pear.

Made some oatmeal peanut butter cookies for (my) supper. Four ingredients-peanut butter, egg, sugar, and oatmeal.

Don't worry-I didn't eat them all.

Finding hearts in my cupcake pan made me smile.

Heart-shaped log-I love the texture.

I bought myself some treats from Wooly Moss Roots.  I love to read Taryn's beautiful blog.
.
I pulled down this branch so I could get a look in this nest.  There's a maple leaf lying in it.  I'm wondering if the birds put it in there or if it just fell in there.  Hmmmmmm.

New buds on the lilac bush.  Spring is around the corner!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Au naturel

Walking to my mailbox and back, and seeing these beautiful sights-helped to lift the bad mood I was in the other day.  Wasn't it gorgeous?  I'm a winter girl at heart, but I have to admit-I'm looking forward to seeing flowers, robin's eggs, hummingbirds, and some green grass.  I do feel very lucky to live in a place where I can experience the four seasons.  What a privilege!

Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
