It's Tuesday and this is Tuesday

I named this rug that I made for a friend, Tuesday, since I finished it up this Tuesday morning.  Remember actress Tuesday Weld?  Tuesday is made from thrifted shirts, a thrifted twin top sheet, a thrifted fitted sheet (it had all different colors of nasturtiums on it) and some jersey fabric that Larry's aunt had given me.

Off my camera

I thought that this ledge on my stove looked so pretty because it was colorful-almost every color of the rainbow.

It was missing orange, so I added it in the form of a spatula-now there is every color of the rainbow.  The old girl is almost 24, dated, and a bit rusty, but I have to say-I think I love my stove!

I was forced into TJ Maxx on Friday by my family (daughter, mother, sister, niece) and came out with this turquoise berry bowl. I call it a berry bowl because you are not suppose to drain hot things or even put it in the dishwasher.  So I guess I'll just rinse berries with it.  (Doesn't it look pretty next to my Michaelanne potholder?)

The stores sure know how to get you to buy with all those pretty colors everything comes in!  Now I want more colors!!!

Even more wildlife from my yard!

Pretty sunset on the way home from my girlie's!

Ya-there was a hornet's nest outside my bedroom door, and ya-it's still there!
That's it for now-have a nice day!

This and that

Here we go again-another round of robins.

I'm glad she decided to use the rhododendron bush again, so I can peek in every now and again.  Fun!

Here's another mama-with twins!  I wonder if she's tired with twin fawns-hmmmmm.

Larry picked blueberries from our bushes on Sunday.  They're a little tart, but we need to pick them before the birdies do!

The skies have been ridiculously beautiful around here, lately.  :)

Oh, here's my ridiculously beautiful niece, Jess!  Nieces are nice and I love her so!
Have a great day, everybody!

The great outdoors!

Yesterday, my niece-Jess and I went to get sandwiches and ice cream at our favorite little store in the middle of nowhere.  The 'middle of nowhere' is quite beautiful, so I took a few pics along the way.

The bottom photo is of this morning's cotton candy sunrise!

I hope you have a lovely day!

Oh, Cherry!

It took me all week, but I made a rug and named it Cherry.  Cherry is made with thrifted sheets and shirts.  (If you'll notice, so are the cherries.)

Today I asked my niece if she had ever heard of anyone named Cherry.  (I had only ever heard of actress-Cherry Jones.)  To my surprise, she said yes-that one of her friend's mom's name was Cherry.  Cool!
Have a nice day, everybody!

Misc.

Here's another chipping sparrow on one of our blueberry bushes.  He's so pretty!

Bees on beautiful Queen Anne's lace!

There are sunflowers growing amongst the weeds in my garden.  Michaelanne sent me a seed packet and I saved some seeds from last year.  I can't wait until I can put them on my windowsill!

Hens and chicks and painted rocks sitting on the cement slab outside our basement door.   PS-that strawberry pot came from Goodwill.

Here's Kimmie's mantel.  (My photo doesn't do it justice.)  Her new home is coming along very nicely!

I can see a heart, can you?
Have a great day, everybody!

The many looks of "Mista Hummer"

I love these beautiful, fascinating, little creatures.  This tiny bird brings me great joy!

"Oh, this sun feels so good on my back!"

"That's right, they call me-Mista Hummer."

"Waz up?"

"My nose/beak is itchy!"

"I walk the line."
I hope everyone has a great day!
