Autumnal

I love the word autumnal!

Pink sunrise

I think this would make a great jigsaw puzzle.

I cannot help but smile every time I look outside.

The zinnias are still going strong.

I took this photo of this eastern bluebird through the window.  I love how his head is cocked.  I don't see these birds that often.  I tried to photoshop the unsightly bird poop out of this photo but I could not!

X marks the spot this morning.

Last evening
What a beautiful time of year!

Have a great rest of the week everybody!

This and that

Some photos from the past week or so:
I (finally) made a rug and I named it Rain.  :)

I thought that this may be the last bouquet of zinnias this year, but it's not.  No hard frost here yet.

Oh, Roc and his silly faces! Love this mug!

My sunflowers are taking a bow.

Oh, this is good stuff right here.  Pumpkin ice cream.  I added pumpkin to the coconut milk 'ice cream' I make all the time.  I just love that coconut milk.  It takes on the flavor of whatever you add to it.  Oh, I'm a sprinkle lover too!

Oooooo, here's a pretty cornfield near my sister's house.

I took this photo (at bottom of our driveway, looking up the road) with my iPod touch. The instagram filter made it look painterly.  (I forgot my camera at my sister's house, so I was without it for a few days and oh, I missed it so!)

Oh, these fall leaves bring tears to my eyes, they are so beautiful!
Speaking of beautiful-this little beauty turned 16 this week.  (The above photo is Jess in 1998.)  My beautiful niece, Jess-what a treasure, gift, blessing, beautiful person she is!  She is loved by many!

September sunrise

These photos were taken at 6:56am, 7:01am, 7:05am, 7:07am, and 7:17am on September 25th.

The colors of morning are so fleeting!

Photo journaling

Some photos from the last week or so.
The clouds mimic the trees.  (This morning)

I finally picked up my crochet hook.  (First time all summer.)  My aunt's doggie chewed a hole in her rug-so I unraveled it and fixed it.

See?

I bought another mug-well, actually two.  (The other one is blue inside.)  I couldn't resist the color being inside the mug.  They were only a quarter a piece at a little Amish thrift store, ten minutes from my house, so I bought them.  I really do need to get rid of some mugs I don't use, though-no more room in my cupboards!

A busy, little bee gathering pollen in my great, big, beautiful sunflower.

This sunflower-one of my two-has gone horizontal.  That's a heavy load to carry.

The pole in my yard-I always get a little mad at the electric/telephone lines when they obstruct my nature shots around my yard.  Then I think-what a hypocrite I'm being.  I love electric and internet service, so how can I be mad?

Inside

Outside

Switchblade-my brother-in-law's stray kitten.  He/she's so cute!

Into the woods-one of hubby's gator trails.  I always peek to in to see if there's any wildlife in there.

The obligatory pumpkin shot!  (My daughter in 1994.)  I recently found this photo when I was cleaning out the underneath of our entertainment center.  (I got rid of a trash bag full of stuff-felt good!)

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Photo journaling

Some photos (and a little video) from the last week or so:
Little spice bottles (that I bought at Goodwill many years ago) make cute little vases, I think.

Afternoon tea!  (The little school chair was-like 25 cents-from Goodwill years ago, too.)

A kitchen corner

Roadside grapes-only a handful.  Two years ago, I picked a bucketful and made some grape jam.

Roadside flowers. (Actually they are from the edge of my neighbors yard.) He doesn't mind that I picked them.

Banana-coconut milk ice cream-again!

Monday's cotton candy sunrise-the dip in the trees is where the road is.

What are 'moo' lookin' at?

The cows came to see me the other morning.

Above is one of my two sunflowers-gorgeous!  Below the 'other' sunflower (which hasn't bloomed yet) can be seen taking a beating from a little storm we had this afternoon. (Our parakeet, Phoenix, can be heard in the background.)  Have a wonderful day!

Photo journaling

Some photos from the last week or so.
Zinnias on my windowsill.

I found these 5 inch square frames at Goodwill.  I hang things on the beams in my bedroom because there's not much vertical wall space in there.

A sunflower outside my window.

Late bloomer-because I'm a late planter.

A garden spider with its din-din.

Lovely evening sky one night last week.

Gone to seed.

Mr. Grasshopper chomping on one of my two sunflowers.  That's fine-I'll share.

Looks guilty as heck to me!

Buddy-my mom and dad's doggie.

OUT with the old.

One of my mom's unruly zinnias

Basket building~Longaberger Basket Company's headquarters in Ohio.  My brother-in-law sent me this pic because he knows I like stuff like this.  Isn't the building quite amazing?
Have a great rest of the week!
