It's daisy season

Daisy on the windowsill
The humble daisy-what a gorgeous wildflower!

Standing on the dock of a pond

I donned my boots (instead of my flip flops) and visited waterlily pond one more time.  This time, I gingerly stepped onto the rickety looking dock, to get the full view.  It was beautiful, as you can see!

Good eats!

A good friend sent this beautiful tray of cookies home with me-thanks, Dawnie!  (They are long gone now.)

I took a notion to make strawberry shortcake one Sunday afternoon.  I ate some and then I needed a nap! Food coma.

Visited by a gray tree frog-at least, I think that's what it was

"What are you lookin' at?"

At first I thought he was a toad, but then I looked him up, and I think he's a gray tree frog.

I think he might be getting ready to jump.

The other morning I saw this little blob on my deck railing.  Of course, I had to check to see what it was and of course, I had to take pictures of it!

Waterlily pond

Last fall, I discovered that a pond near my house was full of lily pads.  I never knew it had these water lilies (it's mostly hidden from the road by brush and trees), but clearly they've been there for many, many years.

I didn't capture any frogs with my camera-but, oh, I could tell they were there by the sounds of the croaks and splashing water.  That made me chuckle.  :)

PS-if you really look, you can see hearts made of water.

Miscellaneous

A lilac heart-these are from my mom's Miss Kim dwarf lilac bush.

It was rug washing day at Mom's house.

Who's your Scrub Daddy?  Mom and her QVC!  She gave me one and I was glad because I have a thing for smiley faces.  :)

I don't know what got into me last week, but I made potato salad-twice.  I like bacon, eggs, celery, onions, and of course-potatoes in mine.

Hope necklace-a gift from Kim.

Here's the happy, beautiful couple!

Woods(y)

Hubby's gator trail

I'm not sure what these are called, (They are called Canadian mayflower or wild lily of the valley-thank you, Mary!)

but they are really fragrant.  The woods smelled wonderful!

Looking up.

Grapevine-just outside the woods.

I finished this rug a few weeks ago-another thank you gift.  I couldn't think of a name for it, but inspiration struck as I looked at these pics of the woods-Woodsy.  My aunt had a cat named Woodsy.  With the greens and browns-I think it's a good fit.
Have a great day!
