This and that

I've been taking photos of my tea each morning-with my different mugs and these lovely journals (that I don't write in) as coasters.  I love drinking tea and I love seeing it too!

Here's Rocco-in my 'garden'~I know, what a joke!

I'm happy to report that the sunflowers are doing great-I'm just waiting for them to bloom.  I'll have a some zinnias too.

The pond!  Boy, she's muddy.

Wildflowers

Webbed!

A candy cane zinnia in my 'garden'!

Green tomatoes, purple nails-a lovely combo of colors-in my opinion.  These are in the bed near my house.

A friend gave me some pottery that she made in college.  I love stuff like that!

I'm still scanning old photos that I took from Mom.  Here's Jodie at our local pool~aka home away from home in our youth~in the 70's.  Ahhhh, sweet memories!   Sadly, they filled this pool in with dirt this year.

I had to document that I actually wore a bikini in my lifetime-yes, here I am in 1978.  I'm sure it was the last year I wore one!
That's it, that's all-have a great day!

My beautiful Roc-I love his eye dots-so expressive!

He's such a BIG boy!

Sleepy boy

I found a volunteer cosmos in my garden.

Flock o' birds

Mad robin-mad at me because I was trying to get a pic of the babies.

This evening's rainbow

There was a storm brewin'  yesterday.

She posed for me this morning!

A buck a bottle at Family Dollar-yes!
I hope everybody has a great weekend!

A quilt for my chicken-loving chicky

Detail

Sewn and hand-quilted by me-how the heck did I have the patience for that!

The front

The back

Sewn and hand quilted by me about 10 years ago.  I was cleaning my chicky's room yesterday (it had become the junk room and was VERY dusty and buggy and junky) and came across this quilt.  So I washed it up and decided to photograph it for the first (I think) time.  I'm sure my 20 year old chicky still likes chickens, but I'll bet she wouldn't pick them up and and play with them like she used to.  Now, she doesn't like to get dirty-imagine that!

'Ridge' and other stuff

I made Ridge as a gift for a young couple-they both like hunting and wildlife and things like that-so I thought 'camo' colors would be a good match for them.  I chose Ridge as a name because of dirt (brown) and grass (green).  It just looked like a Ridge to me.  There's a 'Ridge' on The Bold and the Beautiful, you know.  Ridge is made with mostly thrifted shirts and part of a thrifted sheet.

I drove past the Jimmy Stewart Museum the other day.  Sometime I want to stop and go in.  I love Jimmy Stewart!

This was a good dinner I had with my girlie the other night at Eat-n-Park.  It was the bruschetta chicken.

This is what I cooked for the church picnic yesterday.  Yep-I like to sugar the kids up and send them home.  I'm really horrible about wanting to cook or even make anything anymore!

I found these flowers by the water.  Very pretty, I thought!

Paddleboats at the picnic.

My sister and my niece went to the beach for a little vacation last week.  They sent me some pics.   Here's my beautiful niece, Jess.

Chesapeake Bay

Chesapeake Bay

I thought this was comical.  Our red shed-it's a happenin' place!
I hope everyone has a great week!

Miscellaneous

I found the first three zinnias in my weed infested garden yesterday.  (Three more than I had last year.)  I can't wait to fill this whole windowsill up!

I doctored a frozen pizza with my homegrown basil-it helped!

I downloaded Instagram on my iPod touch the other day.  I love it.  I've been having fun running photos taken with my regular camera through it too.
Here are some moo cows in the pasture in my back yard. I thought this was kind of funny.

Some hens and chicks.

Basil!

The pasture.

Home.

The Roc!

Oh, what a tangled web they weave!

I took another pic of those painted rocks.

Pretty mugs!
That's it, that's all-have a good weekend!
