Snow days

We had snow on Sunday and then all day today.  I do love it, but it has its pitfalls.  I got the Gator stuck in the woods (got hung up on a dead, thankfully, rotten tree stump) looking for Roc this morning-he likes to run off when it's cold.  And it's bear season!  And he looks an awful lot like a bear from far away.  So I was especially worried.  I did remember to put a red handkerchief on him.  He came back out of nowhere when I was clearing off my car to go on a car search for him.  Anyhow, I was happy he was back and my neighbor pulled our Gator out this afternoon, so Larry wouldn't have to deal with it when he got home from work.  And all was right with the world!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Photo journaling

A few photos from the past week or so:
Here's Roc from the beginning of October.  This shot made the cover of his calendar this year.  My, what a handsome boy!

Another glorious sunrise!

Now, that's a mug of tea!  I decided to get out this big boy and use it (a gift from my sister, Kim) because I hadn't for a while.  I had a hard time holding it up with one hand for this pic-so heavy!

New life for this sunflower-I'm hoping the birds start pecking at the seeds.

We woke up to about two inches of snow on Tuesday-very pretty while it lasted!

Birds!

I made a rug and named it Winter.  I love the color combo of red and white, and also the name Winter.

C.C.-the rug formerly known as Couch Cover and Chair Cover.  There's a lot of polar fleece yardage cut up and crocheted into this rag rug.  Unfortunately, hair sticks to it-just like it did to the couch cover and chair cover.  (You can see the couch cover in the last pic of this post.)

I placed another order of Stickygrams (magnets made from instagram photos), because they were running a special.  I'll give a lot of them away, but I always like to scan a few old photos of my daughter and run them through instagram so I have them for MY fridge. She's age four, in kindergarten, and age two-in the above photos, respectively.  She is 21 now.
Have a great weekend, everybody!

Photo journaling

Oh, the lovely maple leaf!

Dining room corner-that light is 25 years old.  Yes-it's a light from the 80's.  It's an 80's light!

Flavor of the week-mint chocolate chip.  It's coconut milk, sugar, peppermint extract, vanilla, mini chocolate chips, and a little green food coloring.  (Because color makes it taste better!)

Jess loves me!  I just found this note from my niece on my iPod from 50 days ago.  I took a screenshot of it so I could keep it forever!  I love her too!

This morning's sunrise.

Have a great rest of the week, everybody!
