I planted a (very) few flowers this weekend along with some thrifted plates (15 cents each). I think I'll be filling in the gaps as I find more plates. Getting myself to plant flowers this year has been like pulling teeth for some reason. Anyhow-that red petunia-she was a volunteer. I love volunteers! Now, if I would just volunteer to finish planting.........
omg.....that is fabulous...and its about time you post again. nice picture of your volunteer and the pretty flowers in the background....you are learning.....learning from the best eh??????? love you
ReplyDeleteLove you too!
ReplyDeleteooohhh, I love this rock wall! Might I suggest some hens and chicks? They are easy peasy, rain or drought, come back every year faithfully (with new babes!!) and would creep and crawl so beautifully between those rocks. They'll be there whether you feel like it or not. :)
ReplyDeleteDodi, I have some hens and chicks in a cast iron shoe. I'll have to take some chicks and put them in between some of the stones. Good idea!
ReplyDeleteThose plates add such interest to the garden.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that is such neat garden art! I can not wait to see how everything grows around the plates. Just lovely
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! What a great idea! Can't wait to watch it grow :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute! What kind of flower comes from the plates?
ReplyDeleteDid you know its not nice to keep hens and chicks in a cast iron shoe! Tisk tisk
:-P
So cute!
ReplyDeleteLove your plates, Holly. They do add so much interest. Can't wait to see them with flowers intertwined later this summer! I heard you visited Grandma on Sunday. Thanks. I wish I was here to see you. Talk to ya soon!
ReplyDeleteHey Dawnie-You know where I got this idea! I think yours look better than mine but I am filling in the gaps, so I think mine will look better soon!
ReplyDeleteJodi-I saw on your blog that you did this too:)
Cute. Are you using ceramic plates or all types? I have some that were in my yard sale if you want them. I think I lost the creative gene that you and Jodie got when I was born.
ReplyDeleteNow Kimmie-how can you say that-your place is adorable! And your outside looks WAY better than mine. Mine's crap right now! They are all ceramic in the pic but I did pick up some melmac last night at Goodwill.
