I discovered these wild strawberries today when I was out with the pup this morning. I knew of wild blackberries and raspberries-but I've never seen wild strawberries. I was quite tickled as you can imagine. I happen to like strawberries!
i think we picked 8 quarts today... i have wild ones all over my yard but they are still flowering, not fruiting yet. we'll have to try to beat the chipmunks to them!

I love strawberries too! We have a bunch of wild ones in the corner of the yard - they got mowed over this past week :-(

ReplyDeletebeautiful, yum. our local strawberries are a bit late, because of our rain rain rain, but i saw the stand being set up yesterday, i am excited!
