In their former life...

this crisscross potholder and this crisscross coaster were a pretty little dress with strawberries on it and big ugly red capris from the 29 cent rack at Goodwill.

I love the strawberry fabric (dang-I wish that dress would have been bigger), well-because I love strawberries and also because of the black background. Dark material is so much more practical for potholders-I use mine one time and they're stained.

I love upcycling stuff!

    So cute....I can be a messy cook too. My potholders are not too pretty. You always find the greatest Goodwill treasures.
