Photo journaling

Some photos from the last month or so:
This is an eastern bluebird.  My husband put out a birdhouse that we'd had in storage for years and they have built a nest in one section of it.  So I've seen a lot of these pretty birds lately.  I also finally bought a tripod and I think that will help me capture these beauties from a distance.

I found a chipping sparrow's nest in my dogwood tree.   It's been fun checking in on it.  I have to step up on a ladder to see in it though.  The nest is tiny and so are the eggs.  I can't wait to see the babies!

Day 3

It's hummingbird season!  Love watching these little guys.

This is a woodpecker that was at my parent's house.  I don't get to see them often.  Sadly, yesterday I found one dead behind our house.  It must have flew into our window.  Poor thing.

Roadside blackberries-I can't wait until these are ripe, cause I'm gonna pick them!

Purple rain-the underneath of my rhododendron bush earlier this month.

A perfectly imperfect daisy

That's all for now-have a great day!

Absolutely beautiful photos! Better and better all the time - what kind of camera do you use, if you don't mind my asking? Send them in to magazines - that one of the chipping sparrow is amazing.

Thanks girls! (Hehe-so happy you still look here!)

Mary, it's a Nikon Coolpix P500. It's considered a bridge camera-somewhere between a point & shoot and a DSLR. (It was a Mother's Day present 4 years ago.)
