Waterlily pond

Last fall, I discovered that a pond near my house was full of lily pads.  I never knew it had these water lilies (it's mostly hidden from the road by brush and trees), but clearly they've been there for many, many years.

I didn't capture any frogs with my camera-but, oh, I could tell they were there by the sounds of the croaks and splashing water.  That made me chuckle.  :)

PS-if you really look, you can see hearts made of water.

Ah Holly, so pretty! So nice that you discovered them. Did you see Jeremy Fisher from the Tales of Beatrix Potter fishing along the pond edge :)!

Thanks, Rainey!

Mary,
I had to look up Jeremy Fisher! Well-I didn't see him, but I think I heard him plopping into the pond!
