'Ree'

This is the rug I've had in my kitchen for about the past year.  I made this one before I started naming them.

My kitchen rugs take a beating because they get filthy and then need washed quite often.  This one developed a hole because I used a canvas-like fabric (used to be a valance) and it did not hold up well.  I almost retired her to the basement, but then decided to Ree-cycle, Ree-do, Ree-make, Ree-purpose-you get the idea!

So I unraveled her and cut out the bad parts-and then stitched her back up tightening her up as I went along.  Kind of like plastic surgery, except I think Ree actually looks a lot better after.  (Maybe I should try this on myself.)

Now, let me Ree-veal-REE!  She's a no-name no longer. I think she's quite pretty and I'm so glad I didn't send her to the basement!
Have a lovely day!

Ree turned out to look lovely. It's amazing how a little TLC can really change the look of something.

Seems fine now..ANYWAY, I am so impressed that you took the time to RE-do your rug! I don't know how you make them...but they are each as beautiful..and UNIQUE as you:) I am feeling better every day..Your pictures always brighten my day..
