Misc.

The sun came out one morning, and all was right with the world.

Another mug shot

And another

This is Jasper and Bo-my mother-in-law's rotties-on Christmas day.  Jasper (on the left) is Rocco's brother.

I'm still infatuated with my mug.

Today, snow happened...again.

Love looking at my lights at night!
Alrighty then, I'm all caught up.  Have a lovely day!

Just a few of the gifts

My girlie got me a Kindle Fire, which was on my wish list.  Yeehawwwww!!!

Kindle Fire cover.

Besides money (which is what she wanted) and two packs of gum, this canvas room divider of NYC was all the girlie got from Larry and I.  (It was a hit!)

Here's a beautiful handmade Posie Gets Cozy, lighted window ornament from lovely Michaelanne.

Also from Michaelanne, this gorgeous cowl she knit!

It has beautiful Wooly Moss Roots' buttons on it.  I love buttons!

Jodie made me this plate (LOVE IT!)  from a Goodwill plate and sharpies.  Decorate the plate, then bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and that makes it permanent.  She found the idea on Pinterest.  I wouldn't eat off it though!
I received tons more small (but fun!) gifts and also money for Christmas.  We had a great Christmas and hope you did too!

Morning and Domino

Good morning, this is Morning.

Yes-I saw on a blog or something, a little girl named Morning. I love it.

What a glorious morning it was when the sun finally came out the other day and I could photograph this rug without the colors completely washing out.

This rug is for my mom. She actually picked out and bought the t-shirts at Goodwill for this one. (She was going to try to make this herself-but then just decided to have me do it.) I've had the shirts for a while now, and just never got to it. She's been asking about it, so I got busy last week and got 'er done. I wrapped it up as one of her Christmas gifts!

This is Domino. Get it?  Black and white...Domino.

A nice little something I made out of all those 'ready for the trash' black and white t-shirts and yoga pants from my closet, with some white and off-white sheets thrown in for good measure.

My camera kept skewing the colors, so I converted the pic to black and white, as it should be.

Rain, then snow!

On the 20th, it rained cats and dogs.

This is Roc in the bed of Larry's old truck looking for bones.  I knocked on the window and this is the look I get!

 **********************************
Then, finally we got some snow!  (We had an inch or two for Christmas, but then got a nice eight or so inches on the 26th.)  I love snow so much-if only it didn't stick to the roads!

Big, fat, daddy cardinal

He was so kind to sit on our deck rail while I grabbed the camera and photographed his pretty red face!

Lovely birthday gifts

Earrings from Kim (the card too)

Mom made this gift tag from little notepads I had given her-Rocco's on the other side.

Kim got me the birdie canvas-she said it reminded her of pics I have taken.   Jodie gave me the love mug and handmade soaps-they smell so good!

Mom gave me the Hope tea towel (there are two actually because the tea towel is cut in half)-she crocheted the top to it so it can be hung on a stove handle.  She also gave me money and a Goodwill gift card.  Jodie and family gave me the lovely egg holder, the mini colander, and a framed photo that she took at the beach.

Hoper gave me this decorative snow shovel and also a huge red and white snow flake mug I haven't taken a picture of yet. (You know me and my mugs.)

Today is our 25th wedding anniversary

Yay us!
Now, if we had a child-this is what she would look like-oh wait, this IS our child!
(Thank goodness she's got her dad's straight teeth!)

Have a nice day!

A little of this and that

Some pics from the past week or so, in random order-
This beautiful cup is my Christmas gift to myself!  Isn't she lovely?

With the events that took place in CT, we could all use a little hope-don't you think?   I can't even imagine the pain they are going through.

Time for tea!

I was without my camera for a little less than a week (I forgot it at my daughters'), so today I just wanted to take some pretty pictures.  I had a little photoshoot with my beautiful handmade mugs.

Sunflower cup

Dahlia cup

Here is my crazy sister Jodie when the fam got together for my birthday.  (I still want to photograph my lovely gifts, but it's been so dark and rainy here.  I will eventually.)

Here's my sister Kim with her boyfriend.  Don't they look happy?  Poor Travis-it was his first time meeting us all, and we are a crazy bunch!

This is Teddy-named Teddy because it feels like a teddy bear.  I used fleece sheets I found sitting in my closet.  It feels so nice and soft!  (The colored rings are t-shirts.) I made this rug for my sister's future daughter-in-law, Laiken.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas!

This is my mom's.

This is what happens when I clean out my closet.  The size 4, 6, 8, and 10 jeans are going to Goodwill, but the t-shirts will go into rugs!

Tree lights!
I hope everybody has a blessed Christmas!

Miscellaneous

My daughter in 1995-love that smile!

November sunset-photo taken by above daughter.

Sunday Starbucks-I always hit the Starbucks' drive-thru before I visit above daughter. (I can't believe a week has passed already.)  Last Sunday we tried the cranberry bliss bars-very good!

Oh, Roc!

You are such a handsome lad!

It's clementine season-I like them so much better than oranges!

I love this one-Jingle Bell Rock, Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire (The Christmas Song), Blue Christmas, Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer-you know, the classics.

Playing with my camera's zoom.

I took this pic awhile ago-I think it's a wasps' nest that's built around lights on the side of a barn I pass on my way into town.  Doesn't it look like an alien?  It's no longer there-someone either took it down or the rain washed it away.

I was at my mom's house today-here's her bowl of Christmas ornaments.

This was my grandma's-the windows are cellophane.
That's all for now-have a great week!
