Blast from the past-part 3-animal edition (& a trip to the zoo)

Three of these photos are of me and the bottom right hand photo is my daughter, Hope, in 1997 at the county fair.  I'm sure I could find better animal photos, but these were close at hand!

******************************
So, this week, my Hopey took a notion to go to the zoo.  (She doesn't need her mommy to take her anymore.  Waaaaaa!!!)  So, she and a friend drove to the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium to enjoy watching the animals for a few hours this week.  (I still can't believe my kid can take herself to the zoo!)  Below are some of the photos she took and I made into a few collages.

The penguin exhibit was her favorite.  She said the penguin at the bottom left was her boyfriend.  He was very cooperative and posed for her!  Such beautiful creatures!

She told me that Mr. (Mrs?) Gorilla got mad at her after she took his/her pic and turned his/her back towards her from then on.

I guess the stingray loved her and kept swimming past and somehow she got to touch its back.

Her are some more majestic creatures!

Hoper says, "Mom, this is something you would do."  She took a pic of her feet in an elephant's footprint.

On the following two photos-this is what I imagine these animals saying:

Have a happy and safe holiday weekend!
