A 5k, a puppy, and a rug

Today-my sister, Jodie, ran her first 5k.  Awesome, right?  Go Jodie!  Yeeeeehawwwww!!!!!

Jodie and her beautiful offspring!

Mom and Dad just adopted a lab/boxer mix pup from a shelter.  He's a cutie!  Mom wanted to name him Buddy and Dad wanted to name him Bear-so therefore his name is Buddy Bear.  I think I'll just call him Buddy.  It's my favorite term of endearment anyhow.  This is the first house dog they've had and this ought to be interesting.  :)

Here's my latest rug-'The Rachel'.  No-The Rachel isn't just a haircut.  It's also the name for the rug I made for a sweet, sweet girl by the same name!

The Rachel contains lots of thrifted t-shirts, some fabric, and some flannel pajama pants given to me by my niece and also a pair from my own closet.  I think 'The Rachel' is beautiful, just like her future owner.

Okay-that's all I got.  Have a nice day.  :)

I've been catching up on all the news here at Hot Tea and Milk Chocolate....rugs, rugs and more rugs -- each more beautiful than the next! I'm glad your camera is back. And, are you a runner too?

Nope-I'm a sitter.

But you know-there's always a chance. Jodie never used to be a runner either!

The newest rug is beautiful. The puppy is absolutely adorable and your sister is AMAZING! I would never be able to run that.

Holly,
I've been wanting to thank you for "Americus". As my son so sweetly refers to it as "a work of art." It will add so much character to my mudroom. I also loved the name since Where the Heart Is is a favorite movie of mine. Thanks for sharing the pictures of Jodie running the 5K. I am so proud of her. She is truly amazing! Love your blog...it's one of my favorites! Thanks again

Way to go, Jodie!! So glad she did so well and a great time to boot. Yeehaw for her and what a great sister you are to have been there and supported her. That was so sweet. Speaking of sweet, that Buddy Bear is too darn adorable!! Let me know what happens. It should be interesting. They will have a great time with him, I'm sure. Rachel is pretty too, of course. I haven't met a rug of yours I didn't like!!
