Thrifting goodness and more

After church on Sunday, I stopped at Goodwill.  I picked up this VERY colorful afghan (the one on top) for 29 cents.  I just love my pile o' blankets in my bedroom!

Oh, and this winter bunny print and frame (you can't tell from the photo, but it's got glitter on it) hopped in my cart for the low, low price of 15 cents.

I'm happy-snow has once again blanketed our area.  I love me some flakage!

Yesterday's and today's rugs.  They contain tea towels, bed skirts, curtains, and sheets, many of which I bought on Sunday at Goodwill from the 29 cent rack.

Have a great day!

Your thrifting is amazing! I would like a personal tutorial on how to make those rugs.

You have great luck with your thrifting! At the thrift shops in my area you have to pay top dollar for sheets, afghans and other household items...it is usually cheaper to buy new!

Luisa-Our Goodwill color codes everything. After it's been there for about a month housewares are marked 15 cents and clothes and linens and such are 29 cents. A couple years ago it was 10 cents and 25 cents, but you know-inflation!

How do your goodwills have such great prices? Most of our thrift stores think they are antique stores. I walked out today with a total of $78...I was buying things for our youth group night where they were relaying to get dressed in the bag of clothes I bought them. What is wrong with that picture? Pretty expensive night no? I could of bought them pizza for that!

Hi Rachel.

Our Goodwill marks things down after it's been there four or five weeks. That's what I usually buy end up buying.

I wish that Goodwill did that everywhere. Where my sister lives-about an hour away-her Goodwill doesn't mark things down there either.

Your Goodwill must be the best one in the world. There are some treasures to be found. And as another soul who loves snow....Bring on that flakage.
