Quilt strip pillow

What do I do when I should be cleaning? Why, I make the quilt strip pillow project from Handmade Home. I used a chenille bedspread scrap, a cutter quilt and a pillow form I had on hand. (I've used that same cutter quilt many times before. I've used it for the family heart, a scarf for my nightstand, my desk, and a scarf for the little cupboard in my bathroom .)

It was a pretty simple project, I really like the results and now I know how to do an envelope pillow cover. Easy, peasy:)

Seven more projects to go!

That pillow looks great....Don't you just love chenille? The downside is that it's so messy to work with. You're nearing the end of this challenge....What's next?

Thanks, Sharon!

I'm not sure, Jodi. Probably getting my girl moved to college, then maybe a quilt made with vintage sheets?

Love your pillow, Holly. You will have to give me a tutorial on the envelope finish on that. I love easy. I saw some pillows in an antique shop last weekend where they took old embroidered pillowcases and made them into long, narrow pillows using the embroidered bottom portions. I am going to make one, I think. Then they just put a simple neutral fabric on a pillow and sewed doilie on and it looked cute too. I love pillows. I just got your pillowcases out again that you embroidered for me and put them on my couch along with the other pillows and they look so cozy! You just can't have too many pillows!

Amanda is going to be very impressed! You better send her a little note when you complete all of them. I'll bet she writes a post, all about it!

oh, and I wouldn't recommend you use your good vintage sheets for page 73... lol! :)

Yep Dawnie-I'll give you a tutorial on how to do an envelope pillow cover. Very easy!

Dodi-without even looking at the book I'm going to guess you are talking about the women's cloth. Or maybe the cloth diapers-but I already did that and nope-I didn't use vintage sheets!:)
